Alabama State has been going through problems all off-season. Allegations of recruiting violations and playing ineligible players have delayed spring practice.  

The Hornets start the season off with FAMU and Bethune- Cookman. What? Yes, this is the non- conference schedule (besides the Turkey Day Classic with Tuskegee). The Hornets will most likely be on the receiving end of blowouts in these games, which will just add to the beating of the morale to the Hornet nation has taken.  

The only good news for the up coming season is UAPB and Prairie View. That’s at least two wins. To find more wins in the schedule is up to the athletic director at Alabama State. If the investigation keeps going on into the season, the distraction might even result in a loss to UAPB.
