Alcorn started the season on a good note and than fell of during the year as the pressure got tight in the SWAC east race. The good news is that they finished 6-5 last year, but the bad news is they didn’t get any better.  

The Braves had a good recruiting class pulling in just fewer than 20 players. Some of theses players will see action this year but will not have any impact in the program until two years from now when they are experienced. 

The biggest plus this year is Donald Carrie. The braves hope for Carrie to have better season this year. In order for that to happen the coaches’ need to call something other than run wide-out screens and five-yard outs. This

 caught some times off guard early in the season but teams eventually caught on and shut it down, causes the fall for the Braves. 

The biggest plus on the team is defensive back Tyrone Parsons. He returns with his seven interceptions and all SWAC honors. The defensive coverage will be better but the run defense will still give big runs.
