Andrews Ready to Wreck Havoc

Jackson State preseason defensive player of the year Elgin Andrews is ready to show what every body is talking about. After finishing last year with 112 tackles and 14 for a loss, Andrews didn't get voted for an All-SWAC spot at the end of the season. This year will be different because he will be on all the opposing coaches scouting report for players to contain.

"I may be a marked man, but they've still got to block me," said Andrews. I'm looking at making even more plays."

Andrews will make change in position from the weak side linebacker to the strong side linebacker this season. Look for Andrews to make more tackles due the more freedom the strong side linebacker has. At week side line Andrews had to stay home to defend the cut back lane.

Be on the look out for a great season from Andrews as the defense goes into the season trying to improve.
