Golden Lions Fall to 0-4

The Golden Lions of Arkansas-Pine Bluff found themselves on the losing end of a 13-9 decision in the Gateway Football Classic in St. Louis.  The Lions were held scoreless for three quarters until John Heflin nailed a 48-yard field goal to poen the fourth period.  With 1:17 remaining in regulation, Jonathan Moore found Cary Washington for a 14-yard pass play making the score 13-9. 

The Golden Tigers had 282 yards of offense (146 rush, 136 pass) while UAPB managed 81 rushing yards and 89 passing yards for 170 offensive yards.
