Brown: Buck Buchanan Award Candidate

Chris Brown is on many black college awards list and the Buck Buchanan would add to it. Brown was a finalist last year for the award. Brown led the SWAC last year with eight interceptions and had 36 tackles.

"Chris is one of those outstanding physical cover guys," GSU defensive coordinator Michael Roach said. "He has great instinct and good speed and size. He's an aggressive cover guy who will take chances and come up with big plays."

Brown is eager for the season to start so he and his team can chase the championship again.

"I want a third straight championship," Brown said. "I want to have my best season yet and I want the team to win another championship. You always want to keep getting better, both as a player and as a team."

The tigers will celebrate one last time for last seasons stellar year at the "Back to Back" SWAC Championship and Black College National Championship ring ceremony.
