Alabama A&M has another statement game this week against Southern. A convincing win over the Jags will vault the Bulldogs to favorites to win the SWAC while sending Southern looking toward next year and possible coaching changes.

In order to avoid coaching changes Southern needs to not only win the game, but make it convincing. Southern has lost some swagger and the team is doubting itself. The Jags just need to play sound football and everything will take care of itself.

What's standing in the way of this is a great defense and much improved offense by the Bulldogs. AAMU is the team to beat this year and the years of cries of being overlooked and underrated will be answered this year.

The Bulldogs will make another statement and make it clear by dominating the Jags.
