Panther Nation Issue Tigers A New Low

While the Tigers score twice in the first period, it was the Panthers who found a way to win as they scored 27 unanswered points in the game.  The Panthers got on the scoreboard with a blocked punt return for a score by Paul Johnson.  Michael Hill found Anthony Gibson for a 5-yard score before halftime to give PVAM a 14-9 lead.  Arnell Fontenot would score in each the third and fourth quarters to seal the game.

For the game, Fontenot finished with 18 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns.  Van Sallier led the Panther defensive unit with 10 tackles (eight solo), one pass breakup and a sack.

For Jackson State, Byron Johnson hauled in seven receptions for 61 yards and one touchdown.  Maurice Hardnett led the JSU defense with nine total tackles (seven solo).  John Thompson added seven stops and a pass breakup.
