SWAC-on-TV 2002

Through a combination of three television
affiliations, Southwestern Athletic Conference football teams will appear on
national and regional television fourteen times during the 2002 football
season. SWAC football will appear on the broadcast networks of Black
Entertainment TV (BET), the Major Broadcasting Cable Network (MBC) and the
National Broadcasting Company (NBC).
Telecasts will begin on August 31, 2002 with the MBC telecast of the Texas
Southern versus Prairie View A&M "Labor Day Classic" from Houston, Texas and
will end on December 14, 2002 with the BET-TV broadcast of the Fourth SWAC
Football Championship Game from historic Legion Field in Birmingham,
Alabama.
