I think that it would benefit yet it is not as simple as that. There are rules that you must met to become a D1 school. A lot of the teams in the SWAC would not met that. We have a tendency to go to out games if our team isn't doing good. This cannot happen in D1. You are required to have a certain attendence and certain amount of season tickets sold. I can't recall the exact nummbers but I know that when Louisiana Tech was making their attempt to move up they try to sell season tickets like crazy. They still are. They can't even play at home because no one goes to the games. They are being threaten to go back down because of this. A lot of our teams do fill the sits but not all. We don't travel like we should or anything. We just need to support our teams more through think and thin. No more fair weather fans...
